MaoHao “Charlie” Han MD

Board-Certified General and Thoracic Surgeon

Dr. MaoHao “Charlie” Han is a certified general and thoracic surgeon at Advanced Gastroenterology and Surgical Associates (AGSA) with more than 20 years of medical experience.

Born in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, Dr. Han received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson. He completed his residency in surgery at the University of South Alabama in Mobile and residency in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.

Prior to joining AGSA, Dr. Han practiced at Lake Surgical Associates and treated patients at Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares, Florida. Today, he maintains staff positions at The Villages Regional Hospital in Lady Lake, Florida, and the Leesburg Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Han is board certified in both general surgery and thoracic surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He speaks both English and Mandarin Chinese, and his personal hobbies and interests include swimming and digital photography.
